Job Description

The Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Technician is responsible for processing, communicating, documenting and tracking outcomes for Drug Therapy Problems (DTP) and other opportunities as identified by the MTM Pharmacists. This position contacts prescribers to gather and document accurate information about the member’s medications and related disease states using the MTM Program systems and processes. The MTM Technician is responsible for tracking and documenting all mail returned to Prime Landing designated for the MTM programs, receiving inbound and making outbound calls to qualified members across all lines of business to review the benefits of the MTM program.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound and make outbound calls to prescribers to resolve Drug Therapy opportunities

  • Utilize Prime’s MTM process management system to record member and prescriber specific information

  • Update member records by creating written communication of the clinical outcome utilizing the MTM and Smart Adherence platforms within specific turnaround times

  • Perform outreach calls to pharmacies and prescriber’s offices related to the department process across multiple clients to obtain all necessary information related to Drug Therapy opportunities

  • Manage work queue and volumes to meet internal and CMS specified turnaround times

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED

  • 1 year of pharmacy experience in customer service, Contact center experience or health care delivery experience

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills

  • Willingness and ability to learn internal systems/processes/programs as needed

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs including weekend shifts and holidays

  • Ability to adapt and work collaboratively in a dynamic fast-paced production environment

  • Basic math skills and general PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, Internet, and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy and/or PBM experience

  • Experience working with highly confidential medical information

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and system operations (e.g. workflow processes and case management)

  • CPhT Certification

  • Available for hybrid work model in Minnesota

  • Fluency in another language (Spanish)

Physical Demands

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

This position is a HYBRID position and will require employee to be ONSITE at our headquarters in Eagan, MN.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $17.85 - $25.48 based on experience and skills.
