Job Summary:
The Agile Program Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering software development projects using Agile methodologies. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The Agile Program Manager will act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
What You Will Do:
Plan, execute, and oversee Agile projects from inception to completion.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with product owners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project objectives.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices in Agile methodologies.
Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices.
Track and report on key metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and burn-up charts.
Ensure quality standards are met through effective collaboration with QA and development teams.
What You Have:
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project).
Experience with Agile planning and estimation techniques.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in coaching teams in Agile best practices.
Familiarity with change management principles.
Knowledge of software engineering and development practices.
Good to have: Experience with Generative AI or AI-related projects.
Additional Information:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certifications preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience managing Agile projects.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal location for this role is Peoria-IL, Dallas-TX, Nashville-TN
MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THIS LOCATION AND Work out of the office 3 times a week.
This position may require 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
