Position Overview:
Join our management team at The Grill , a vibrant lakeside restaurant known for fast, casual dining at Crooked Creek Marina! As the Back of House (BOH) Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, food quality, and adherence to health and safety standards.
This is a hands-on role, meaning you’ll be actively involved in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen organization while also stepping in where needed to support the team. If you have a passion for food, teamwork, and creating great guest experiences, we’d love to have you on board!

Essential Functions:
• Supervise and support BOH team members, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Train and coach staff on service standards and food safety guidelines.
• Take a hands-on approach by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Open and close the kitchen according to established procedures.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, rotated, and organized for easy access.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Execute scheduled equipment maintenance and report repair needs.
• Complete and report inventory counts for food and kitchen supplies.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency.
• Address and resolve any kitchen-related concerns that impact service.
• Collaborate with the management team to maintain food service efficiency and teamwork.
• Assist with FOH duties when needed to maintain seamless restaurant operations.
• Track and log food waste for reporting.
• Monitor and report team member or guest incidents as needed.
• Any additional duties assigned for success.

Required Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of kitchen management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Proficiency in POS software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate a team.
• Clear background check and drug screening.
• Full weekend and summer holiday availability. Typical hours of operation are Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications:
• ServSafe certification.
• Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyle
Working Conditions:
• Performs work primarily indoors in a kitchen setting, where temperatures can occasionally be-come hot due to cooking activities.
• Remains stationary for extended periods of time while also moving about the kitchen to supervise staff.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with team
• Operates grills, fryers, cutting tools, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Moves up to 25 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
This position may occasionally require travel within Georgia and South Carolina (1-2 times per year) to attend meetings or events.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $13.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
