Position Overview:
Join our management team at The Grill , a vibrant lakeside restaurant known for fast, casual dining at Crooked Creek Marina! As the Front of House (FOH) Manager, you’ll lead our service team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
In this hands-on role, you'll be a key part of the management team, supporting and guiding FOH staff, upholding service standards, and maintaining a fun and energetic work environment. Essential Functions:
Supervise and support FOH team members, ensuring excellent service and smooth daily operations.
Train and coach staff on service standards, food safety, and customer interactions.
Open and close the restaurant according to established procedures.
Take a hands-on approach by actively serving, bartending, and assisting with guest needs.
Ensure all FOH team members follow food and alcohol service guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized dining area, bar, and service stations.
Complete and report inventory counts for alcohol, chemicals, and serving supplies.
Address and resolve guest concerns, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Collaborate with the management team to maintain food quality, service speed, and teamwork.
Enforce restaurant policies, procedures, and service expectations.
Assist with BOH duties when needed to maintain seamless restaurant operations.
Track and log food and alcohol waste for reporting.
Monitor and report employee or guest incidents as needed.
Any additional duties assigned for success.

Required Qualifications:
Proven knowledge of restaurant processes and ability to serve guests.
At least 1 year of management, team lead, or supervisory experience.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate a team.
Ability to use POS software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Attention to cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
Clear background check and drug screening.
Full weekend and summer holiday availability. Typical hours of operation are Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications:
ServSafe certification.
Knowledge of food and beverage service best practices
Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyle
Working Conditions:
Performs work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, as The Grill features covered outdoor dining areas.
Must remain stationary for extended periods while also moving about to supervise staff, interact with guests, and oversee service.
Communicates clearly and effectively with team and guests.
Moves up to 25 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
This position may occasionally require travel within Georgia and South Carolina (1-2 times per year) to attend meetings or events.
The anticipated pay for this position is $13.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
