Job Description

As a Benefit Verificatoin Supervisor, you will assist in supporting our Eden Prairie Center of Excellence by leading and developing a team of Benefit Verification representatives resolving patient issues and making sure that patient orders are able to be processed in an accurate and efficient manner. Must have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key stakeholders and patients.

Use your newly acquired healthcare training or current customer services leadership skills to make a difference in a patient’s life by ensuring your team of customer service specialists accurately initiate the referral process and answer questions from patients and caregivers on their admissions status with compassion. You will gain exposure in a multitude of aspects of the healthcare field, such as nursing, pharmacy, warehouse, clinical support, and sales.

Coram CVS/specialty infusion services is a national leader in the home infusion and enteral fields. You have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experiences to work supporting a specialty pharmacy operation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervises the activities of subordinate staff. Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.

  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff. Ensures work assignments are completed accurately, efficiently,

and timely.

  • Ensures individual and team benchmarks are achieved.

  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, conducting performance appraisals and disciplining subordinate staff.

  • Provides guidance and leadership for staff to ensure employees are achieving customer satisfaction through

effective communication, problem solving, professional phone etiquette and efficient processes.

  • Resolves patient/customer complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.

  • Performs quality control checks on subordinate staff.

  • Identifies errors and inconsistencies to established procedures and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken.

  • Ensures ongoing communication with Center of Excellence, branch and billing center management, other branch departments and/or other branch offices.

  • Troubleshoots problems.

  • Acts as a resource to subordinate staff to resolve customer inquiries and issues.

  • Completes and passes associated admissions training.

  • Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and "best practices."

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum six years of related experience with one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.

  • Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.

  • Strong service orientation and customer service attitude.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of commensurate experience and education.


  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
