Responsibilities:
Part and Prep a variety of hull and small parts molds following specifications and instructions.
Ensure parting of mold without damage.
Prep molds with proper materials.
Clean top of molds of scrap material.
Clean flange of molds before applying grease.
Wax molds for Gel coating.
Place hulls on proper dollies.
Clean plugs and plug holes after parting.
Ensure parting tool are in operating order.
Operate fork truck and overhead crane.
Move molds in and out bays per schedule.
Store molds in designated area and cover.
Clean up bays after parting molds.
Move molds in a way not to cause damage.
Perform departmental housekeeping.
Follows daily production schedule to complete in a timely manner.
Makes sure all work is performed in a safe manner.
May perform other duties as necessary.

Experience/Qualifications:
Must follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Must be able to operate all equipment associated with job functions.
Must use judgment when moving molds.
Must complete classroom and on the job training.
Uses judgment in performing process requirements to meet established deadlines.
Must be able to detect mold defects.
Must keep tools in good working order.
Basic skills in forklift, overhead hoist, and computer skills preferred
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions
Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect
Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English
High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements and Activities :
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements will include eye protection, dust masks, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective suits
Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production)
Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment
Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned)
Shifts:
Boston Whaler has multiple shifts available to fit a variety of schedule.
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM.
Occasional overtime may be required based on scheduling and business needs, including non-schedule workdays or irregular hours.
An hourly premium shift differential is available for employees working night shift and weekends
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.00 to $25.85 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
