Purpose : Participate in advance, highly complex planning activities and as well of supervises production planners, contractors and inventory specialists. Accountable to set goals, policies, procedures and prepares budget and business plans and responsible to provide coaching, mentoring and foster people development to direct and non-direct reports.
You will be responsible for:
Lead the plant effort to adhere to EPS lean manufacturing principles and rules for the scheduling and material flow process.
Manage production process to meet Customer Service objectives 96% OTIF) without compromising product quality or employee safety.
Analyze the Planning Model Report daily to manage capacity constraints and determine production quantities.
Perform short term capacity planning and advises Management of any potential production issues.
Attend Integrated Production Team (IPT) meetings daily in case ** production planning and scheduling planner does not attend, and Production Meetings to represent Materials Management and highlight material flow concerns and issues.
Monitor Kanban levels and work closely with facilitators to manage production process.
Manage local events, which impact production capacity, and coordinate major events with Event Planning.
Investigate and quickly resolve all issues impacting production.
Analyze material flow trends (WIP Exceptions) to determine departmental impact on production flow.
Manage the re-introduction of material into the production flow from salvage and/or inspection
Lead the daily staff production meeting.
Provide short and long-term capacity information to Supply Planner in support of creation of new PSR’s.
Ensure compliance to the quality policy in all activities
Support and promote the safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant
Participate in conference calls: PLT’s, Customer Service, EPS, ELC
Qualifications
8 years of experience in related field.
A minimum of bachelor’s Degree
MRP, MFG/PRO and JDE Knowledge preferred
Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and good interpersonal skills to effectively influence colleagues.
Understanding of ICO, IPC, and PRA processes
Understand and adhere to EPS principles and rules
