The Boeing Company Mail Services Specialist in El Segundo, California

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Receives, sorts, files and delivers U.S., express, inter- and intra-company mail including certified, registered, and classified mail. • Trains less experienced Mail Service specialists to receive, sort, file and deliver mail following location specific routes and schedules. • Prepares, posts and sorts, by destination code, outgoing mail ensuring compliance with all postal and export regulations. • Prepares documents for shipment of classified mail. • Trains less experienced Mail Service specialists to prepare, post and sort mail. • Assigns work to employees within the work group to assure schedules are met. • Delivers stationery and supplies; processes incoming invoices, maintains bulletin boards, processes incoming checks and addresses and inserts bulk mail. • Interfaces with all internal and external customers and vendors to ensure reliability and compliance with all government and company regulations and policies. • With general supervision, X-rays all incoming packages to discover potentially dangerous materials in accordance with applicable standards. • Notifies Security if suspicious package is observed.

This position requires an active Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED): • Applicant will coordinate all activities related to incoming/outgoing transportation at customer site. • Applicant will support all move activities and could be required to lift/move heavy loads on a daily basis. • Applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills, which will be demonstrated through interpersonal, telephone and e-mail interactions. • Applicant will also need the ability to interact with all levels of our customer network including military personnel. • Must be highly organized, pay close attention to detail and be able to adapt to an ever-changing customer and programmatic environment. • Applicant must be able to work independently, but also interact with team members as applicable.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • General knowledge of transportation and logistics services.
