Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Technologist role in our new product development manufacturing area. Candidates must have great organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. Candidates will perform various tasks in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment with minimal supervision. The optimal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude with an eye for making things better.
This individual will provide support to manufacturing engineering, the assembly team, process owners, and planners at many different levels.
This will include, but will not be limited to:
Working closely with planners, quality, process owners, manufacturing team, and operations program managers, to ensure any assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Assisting assemblers on the manufacturing floor with day-to-day continuous improvement requests to improve safety, process flow, quality and efficiency.
Determining the need for tooling and making recommendations for the design and planning of required tools.
Supporting work instruction creation, modification, and improvements.
Will work with computer systems and a variety of computer applications.
Completing complex modifications and first builds
The tasks required will demand a strong ability to maintain focus during execution. Candidates should plan to maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and always try to be creative in finding ways to improve processes while keeping an emphasis on cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma or GED
Experience in a circuit card manufacturing
Experience in final assembly manufacturing
Experience working on continuous improvement efforts
Ability to follow written instructions and work independently
Ability to give clear written or oral communication to share information with team members and management
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience leading continuous improvement efforts
Shop floor leadership experience
Experience in a product development environment
Experience completing complex modifications and managing various configurations
An ability to interpret engineering drawings
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $43600 - $74100
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
