The Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business is experiencing unprecedented growth. Our two design centers in Endicott, New York and a new state of the art development center in Austin, Texas are the home for our next generation technical solutions. Engineers will develop flight and mission-critical products for more than 170 commercial and military customers. You will have the opportunity to help design and develop the next generation: Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls, Aircraft Engine Controls, Ground Vehicle Power Management Systems, Aircraft Electrification Systems, Advanced Air Mobility Systems, Autonomous Flight Systems, Flight Deck Systems, Cabin Management Systems, Weapon Control Systems, and Mission Systems for the world's most prominent commercial and military aircraft and vehicle manufacturers.

These roles involve a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work and will take the form of a hybrid work schedule, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Position Summary

Join our team of Analog Circuit Design Engineers who are tasked with the architecture, design, test, and verification of high-reliability analog circuitry. In this position you will support the development and product support of advanced avionics, forboth military and commercial aircraft, including jet engine control computers, flight control systems, aircraft electric propulsion systems, cabin and cockpit electronics.

As a Principal Analog Circuit Design Engineer you will make impacts in the following ways;

  • Design, analysis and verification of analog-to-digital converted interfaces such as RTDs, thermocouples, strain gauges, VDTs, synchros, resolvers and various voltage and current monitors.

  • Design, analysis and verification of digital-to-analog converted interfaces such as solenoid and relay drivers, torque motor drivers, stepper motor drivers, voltage and current sources.

  • Collaborate with EMI and Systems Engineers to design for and test lightning protection circuitry

  • Circuit design tasks consists of part selection, schematic capture, PWB layout and routing support, circuit performance analysis and simulation and design verification testing

  • Conduct research and development that improves processing capability, signal integrity, reliability while reducing size, weight, area, power and cost (SWAP-C)

  • Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.

  • Collaborate with and support other functional areas such as electronic packaging, firmware, systems engineering, test equipment and operations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BSEE, with 6 or more years of analog design experience

  • Experience with mixed-signal ADC and DACs

  • Experience with analog signal conditioning

  • Experience with design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab and MathCad.

  • Experience performing component level analog circuit stress and derating analys

  • Experience in circuit tolerance analysis considering end of life and environmental limits

  • Experience in designing for EMI and Lightning Protection

  • Familiar with PWB design, component layout and trace routing

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • MSEE with 10 years of analog design experience within the aerospace industry

  • Experience in designing for and testing to MIL-STD-461 EMI and Lightning standards

  • Highly proficient in design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab and MathCad

  • Experience with mitigating fault propagation and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA)

  • Ability to write technical requirement specifications for avionic hardware

  • Some experience with RF Circuit Design

  • Some experience in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion

  • Some experience in digital circuit design

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
