This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

As the Subcontract Management, Sr. Staff, you will be responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance on moderate-to-high-risk, modified Commercial Off The Shelf, performance specification, and complex build-to-print subcontracts for commercial, DOD, and international programs. Leads multifunctional subcontract management teams. Holds procurement delegation and signs supplier agreements and purchase orders within the established authority. Leads the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontract systems in support of development, production, and global sustainment primes with multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions including price, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages, prepares awards, and administers resulting subcontracts and required change activity.


Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin facility in either:

• Englewood, CO,

• Fort Worth or Houston, TX,

• Huntsville, AL,

• Sunnyvale, CA, or

• Kennedy Space Center, FL,

and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent experience/combined education.

• 5+ years related to supply chain (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management) experience with a proven record of performance with a focus on mission success.

• 5+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) with a background in Government, commercial, and procurement/subcontracting practices in aerospace and defense.

• Previous professional experience with complex subcontract/contracts, teamwork/team-building expertise, proven leadership, and negotiation skill sets.

• Previous professional experience interacting with all levels of the organization/program and building strong supplier relationships, strong relationships with IPT counterparts and customers when required.

• Previous professional experience in developing and executing business/subcontract management strategies.

Desired Skills:

To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 years or more of relevant professional experience; or 13 years of relevant professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

• Strong complex subcontract/contract experience, negotiation skill sets, proven leadership, and teamwork/team-building expertise.

• Strong background in aerospace and defense technical requirements and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR,) familiarity with LMAP is considered a plus.

• 5 years experience in a LM Line of Business and/or

program is desirable; familiarity with Civil Space programs is considered a plus.

• Ability to implement change leading to improved team performance.

• Cost account management (CAM) certification and experience is considered a plus.

• Comprehensive knowledge of space systems industry, supply chain, and technologies necessary to develop and deliver next-generation payloads.

• Space Hardware (HW) product knowledge is desired.

• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
