As a part of this transformation, we know that data is at the center of everything that we do. We seek a dedicated professional to help take us to the next level of our data governance journey. The ideal candidate collaborates with Business Data Stewards, Data Architects, IT Developers, Database Administrators and Data Governance Analysts to document and test data quality rules, IT processes, data element definitions, data flow diagrams, data lineage and impact analysis. This role aligns our global data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices with overall business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform data quality profiling processes, and measure data quality statistics
Partner with business-embedded data stewards, resolve data quality issues
Track meaningful metrics in the data governance scorecard and build the data quality action plans needed by our Data Migration team
Document requirements, build data flows, and establish acceptance criteria to be used with test cases to ensure Business and IT Data is Fit-for-Purpose
Capture metadata, review profiling results, document issues and establish appropriate monitoring
Define terms and definitions for critical data elements in conjunction with business and technology partners
Collaborate effectively with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology Partners and Vendor Contractors to achieve expected business outcomes
Collaborate with internal partners to resolve data integrity issues
Provide status on assigned work items and deliver in a timely manner to project teams and leaders
Participate as a team member of the multi-functional data analytics team
Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Required Skills:
Produce data quality scorecards and determine action to improve while collaborating with project teams
Demonstrated experience with SAP Information Steward
Advanced Knowledge of SQL Programming Language and/or outstanding Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Demonstrable ability to work on your own as well as within teams
Strong analytical, organizational, time management, facilitation, and process leadership skills
Maintain a positive work environment through collaboration & conflict resolution
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with the Data Management Association (DAMA) Body of Knowledge (DAMA-DMBOK) and its components, or similar framework
Working knowledge of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) and Data Flow Diagramming Techniques
Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues; such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, HIPPA, etc.
Ability to produce Power BI Reports
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree related to Information Systems, Business or another relevant academic field with a minimum 4 years job experience in IT or process area(s)
Required Experience:
4+ years in a Data Governance relevant Role
5+ years as a data analyst with a specialization in data warehousing or business intelligence environments
3+ years of Agile Methodology experience
