Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall ownership of the quality and food safety processes for the seven primary ADM Flavors North American Facilities. Standard development, deployment, auditing, and metric analysis will be primary deliverables from this position. The execution and adherence to the standards will be monitored, tracked and communicated to drive improvement and alignment to corporate and ISO expectations. This position will initially not have any direct report and expect domestic travel. This position will be based out of one of our larger Flavors facilities.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Provide complete process/program oversight of the North America Flavors ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 framework and the support of effective and efficient processes

  • Represent the Flavors business on Global Quality Management Systems team and various sub-committees

  • Develop harmonize standards that meet business needs and align to global Quality and Food Safety standards.

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain harmonized quality and food safety process standards within North America flavors facilities to meet ISO, FSSC and global ADM Quality Management Standards

  • Algin with other Flavors regions and other ADM business units to achieve synergies where applicable

  • Support Facility Quality and Food Safety Leadership teams in adoption and adaption to standards

  • Conduct internal process audits to identify gaps and assist with action planning to supported sites

  • Ensure continual improvement following a DMAIC process

  • Develop and track regional and site-specific KPI’s related to key processes

  • Effectively communicate metrics and opportunities to encourage improvements quality culture maturity

  • Business lead on global project to implement global eQMS software when launched in this business and region

  • Accountable to ensure proper adherence to document control strategy and practices


  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 6+ years of proven experience in a food/beverage manufacturing and laboratory environment, GFSI, HACCP, and food safety practices

  • 3+ years Internal Quality and/or GFSI auditing experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed

  • Working knowledge and experience with FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, ISO and regulatory compliance

  • Familiarization with phys-chem laboratory equipment (GC/GCMS, HPLC, etc.)

  • Familiarization with microbiological knowledge, ideally specific to the food and beverage industry
