Position Summary :
The Strategic Support Manager I (SSM I) role is a mid-level position within the Supply Chain team and reports to the Senior Manager of Demand Planning and Strategic Customer Management. The SSM I will be responsible for providing best in class customer service in support of key customer accounts. This role requires strong problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills. This role also requires the ability to work independently or collaboratively, exhibit sound judgment and a strong customer centric mindset. The SSM I position operates in a fast paced and demanding work environment and is expected to present a professional image to both external customers and internal team members.

Description of Work Performed:
Enhance brand equity with key customers through excellence in order execution
Build and maintain customer relationships that drive efficiency and profitability
Participate in customer facing meetings and events
Proactively manage supply chains to meet customer expectations and minimize delays
Participate on cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues
Provide timely communication and follow through, both external and internal, for key account concerns
Coordinate customer order execution activities within the overall organization, with a high level of focus on:
Sales and Operations Planning Process
Forecasting and Demand Management for all relevant products
Master Production Scheduling and Master Planning of Resources (MRP)
Make effective decisions in fast-paced business environment while accepting the responsibility to explain the business logic through business planning and analytical presentations
Understand strategic goals of the business unit and align personal goals accordingly
Excellent understanding of internal business processes
Portray a positive image of the company and self when interacting with customers and colleagues
Prepare, submit, and monitor daily and ad hoc reports
Familiarity with and adherence to all ISO procedures and requirements
Willingness to work outside normal business hours including weekends depending upon business need
Ability to travel domestically up to 20%
Perform other duties as required
2 year University degree minimum, 4 year degree preferred in a business related field (i.e. marketing, finance, communication, etc.), supplemented with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience in customer-facing roles. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Demonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast-paced work environment
Proven ability to assess business and financial risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions
Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage effectively within a team based work environment
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal partners/colleagues
Highly proficient in computer processes and Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook
Position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use, and standing, bending, kneeling and operating a keyboard
