Facilities Support Engineering Unit Manager -- Nuclear Fuel Services (BWXT) - Erwin, TN

Summary Description of Job:

Direct and support subordinate professional engineering personnel in the performance of technical reviews, designs, cost estimates, operational support, project management, maintenance support and schedules associated with engineering programs and facilities projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities of Job:

1. Provide direction and leadership to NFS Facilities Engineering Support staff.

2. Drive continuous improvement, standardization, best practices, administrative organization, and professional development.

3. Develop, implement, monitor, and ensure compliance with NFS Facilities and Engineering procedures and methodologies.

4. Assist personnel in problem solving, communications, setting priorities, and conflict resolution. Work across the NFs staff to identify, develop, and implement actions to improve performance and reduce costs.

5. Manage cost center budget and assist staff in aligning resources to effectively execute facility improvements.

6. Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Facilities Management Section Manager or Facilities Director.

Educational Requirements of Job :

B. S. -- Engineering or Technical degree.

Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent)

Ten years' experience required. PMP or project management experience preferred. Experience in nuclear industry preferred.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
