Northrop Grumman Systems Software Analyst / Requirements Analyst in Fairfax, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Software System Analyst / Requirements Analyst to support an NG DoD program in Fairfax, VA. The candidate will be a member of the Engineering & Sciences (E&S) Eastern Region homeroom. Our team is chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to design, develop, produce and sustain product lines across the enterprise while providing a decisive advantage to our customer's missions. The candidate will be self-starter and will be expected to manage and complete their tasks in a fast-paced results driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work independently to deliver result

  • Experience with understanding and applying technical principles, theories and concepts derived from user needs (i.e., Use Cases, User Stories)

  • Define requirements and business cases for technology developments

  • Coordinate with business and development teams to decompose, analyze, create, and document requirements; ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls

  • Facilitate meetings for requirement elicitation, brainstorming and review

  • Conduct testing such as functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and specification by example

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 year of related experience OR a Master's degree and 0 years of experience

  • Experience in understanding, documenting and communicating business processes in the use of applications

  • Experience in deriving and documenting business, technical, and functional requirements from end-user use case narratives

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience in the development and management of requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Ability to independently assess priorities and work with information

  • Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence software

  • Knowledge of DoD financial processes
