Job Description

BAE Systems is seekingArchitecture/Engineering Support Specialistto join our team located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia supporting Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) efforts to implement the architecture, required services, and facilitate adoption of Army Cloud (cARMY) services. The program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) to support overall strategy and migration to cARMY environment that currently includes Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds at IL 2, 4, 5 and 6.

The successful candidate will implement and maintain smooth operation of databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures.

Supports data management, IM/document management, measurement and reporting (Metrics/KPI of current month and cumulative) including comparison data in monthly performance reports. Ensures reports, documents, and narrative-type deliverables are adequate/acceptable for the government as well as maintaining databases necessary for ECMA services.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in managing MS SQL databases

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years working experience, may substitute experience for education such as High School graduate with 10 years of experience; candidates with Armed Forces courses, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

• DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Intermediate qualification (e.g. Security CA) within 6 months of starting position.

• Must be located within 75 miles of ECMA at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

• ITILv4 Foundation

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
