Lockheed Martin is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer to join the Core Enterprise Services (CES) Team located in Ft. Belvoir Virginia. This position supports the Government and its customers by supporting 24x7 operations, monitoring production systems, and ensuring customers are receiving the most accurate, relevant products they need to accomplish their missions. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Capable of working rotational shifts on an ad hoc basis as part of a 24x7 operational team

- Achieve and maintain certifications in accordance with the contractor’s and customer’s formal training programs

- Monitor operational processing operations systems and data flow for nominal status

- Provide on-shift subject matter expertise

- Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures

- Execute test methodologies for production systems and their associated products

- Coordinate with analysts and engineers from other disciplines

- Develop procedures and CONOPs for operational execution

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a science and technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines

- Ability to support and perform 24x7 operations

- Must be a US Citizen

- TS/SCI w/Poly required to start

Desired Skills:

- Formal training/previous work experiences in customer mission set

- Experience with processing systems and architecture

- Familiar with scripting languages

- Experience with Linux operating systems and command line interfaces

- Demonstrated understanding of user needs and operational environments

- Demonstrated capability and success working in a customer environment with a multi-contractor, geographically diverse team

- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet time critical needs/demands with close attention to detail

- Ability to obtain an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance and CI Poly.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
