Description: This is an opportunity to work on an exciting IRAD project to develop and validate the Training Enterprise Digital Twin - a disrcrete model of a complete training enterprise. The selected candidate will help build the syllabus validation and sustainment & logistics models. These models use discrete event simulation to validate the executability of training and sustainment plans while considering uncontrollable factors such as weather, device failures, spares and personnel limitations. The model will predict a training design’s ability to meet training Key Performance Indicators (such as number of pilots graduated, required aircraft, training devices availability, etc). When compete this module will be configurable with proposal/program data to support the TLS training services portfolio.
The selected candidate will assist in creating discrete event models in SIMIO and update related systems engineering artifacts (Requirements/ DoDAF Architecture views).
-Bachelors in STEM, computer science, modeling & simulation, or related major preferred
- Familiarity with scripting languages (ex: VBA, Python, etc)
- Great teaming, interpersonal, and communications skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams; to include virtual teams
- Masters in modeling & simulation or related major
- Experience with developing requirements & software architecture
- Familiarity with pilot training
- Prior experience with SIMIO or equivalent discrete event modeling tool
- Prior experience with SYSML, Cameo/magic draw tool
