Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Mainsail Lodging. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities include Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, general clerical duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable including but not limited to: maintaining a billing control log, accurately posting and applying payments, maintain customer files, and collections.

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

  • Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions

  • Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.

  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.

  • Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance withSOPs.Maintain open communications with all hotels and departments

  • Assist supervisor with tasks

  • Perform other duties as management requests

Education and experience

Please note Lightspeed system knowledge is highly preferred

  • Previous hotel experience required

  • Previous LightSpeed PMS experience preferred

  • Previous Marriott systems experience preferred

  • Must be proficient in Excel and Outlook; and have reasonable level general computer skills

  • Must be able to communicate with both Internal and External guests

  • Available Monday – Friday with occasional weekends

  • Corrected vision to normal range.

  • Ability to work long hours as needed
