Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Fort Walton Beach, FL location for a Cybersecurity Analyst I.
Job Description:
Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves issues with security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems.
Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Maintains hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols.
Administers security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems.
Advanced writing skills for RMF (Risk Management Framework) creation and assessment of controls and supporting documentation.
Update and manage documentation within appropriate systems for ATO maintenance.
Advancement of skills for system administration and cybersecurity assurance will be supported with continued training, mentoring, and development plans designed for hybrid platforms with rigorous cybersecurity standards.
Due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform some work onsite because of the nature of this particular role, it will be performed as hybrid with both onsite and remote work.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BS degree with an emphasis in Information Systems/Computer Science and 1 - 2 years experience
Be able to secure at least a Security within 6 months of employment
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with software engineering teams
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required
Must have the ability to create and maintain technical documentation using industry accepted methods.
Must have a high level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills, and adapt seamlessly to an ever-changing security environment
Must have knowledge of cybersecurity governance and auditing in software/IT environments
Must have project experience with administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting with Linux (SUSE, RHEL, and other variants)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Security certification or higher
RMF experience with EMASS preferred
Salary Min $50,580 - $85,950

Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950
