BAE Systems Manufacturing Integration Supervisor in Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Job Description
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Supervises, directs, and trains a group of production personnel to build complex, multi-faceted operations involved in the assembly of component parts, completed units at a sub assembly level as well as overall System Integration level. Participates in the production scheduling of the assembly operation and ensures the production of a high quality, reliable product which meets specified standards.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.)
Oversees preplanned workloads to assure a smooth flow of both priority and routine tasks. Coordinates with production control for scheduling of the assembly and/or test operation. Responsible for providing qualified personnel for travel during installations.
Maintains costs by monitoring and reviewing budgets and expenditures in order to meet established plan and guidelines and monitors rework data reports in order to control costs.
Collaborates with engineering, drafting, machine shop, and quality assurance to obtain clarification, resolve issues, and improve designs.
Must maintain preventive maintenance and calibration requirements of area test equipment and tooling. Interfaces with support personnel and direct reports to ensure customer satisfaction.
Creates and maintains training metrics (manufacturing and functional training) for personnel to ensure each employee is properly trained for their specific job to meet production and quality specifications.
Identifies errors and initiates corrective action in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance. Monitors quality data to ensure corrective action is effective. Attends corrective action reviews and participates in identifying root causes and is responsible for preventing reoccurrence. Supports all audit personnel during company quality audits.
Must be capable of understanding and applying BAE Systems engineering, material, and production processes.
Prepares and discusses performance evaluations and initiates recommendations for employee transactions (i.e., rate changes, reclassifications, etc.) Interviews job applicants and recommends hiring. Responsible for weekly labor reporting of employees and coordinates payroll discrepancies with accounting.
Ensures compliance with all safety and health regulations stated by internal company policy and Federal, State and Local applicable standards.

Lower level production workers.
B. Supervision Received
Work is overseen by higher level supervisors and managers within the function.
IV. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
A. Physical Tasks
Light to medium lifting of equipment.
B. Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment - possible exposure to electro-chemical hazards.
VI. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring accuracy of labor vouchers and budget expenditures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or GED and 8 year(s) related experience
Requires electronics experience in Assembly, Methods and Procedures or Quality Assurance.
Experience producing small parts and circuit cards; assemble and wire basic components and subassemblies; and to solder in accordance with J-STD-001.
Ability to mentor IPC and J-Std-001 standards
Must be able to read and interpret schematics and drawings
Ability to lead and mentor other team members

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Costpoint experience or similar planning tools
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Salary Min $52,470 - Max $89,190

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52470 - $89190

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
