A day in the life of an Aftermarket Product Test Engineer consists of electronic troubleshooting to a component level on avionics equipment, supporting large work volumes while working cross functionally with other engineers and operators on the shop floor in an exciting, fast paced environment. You will have the opportunity through our mentorship, training and development to increase your skills and knowledge base in this area and grow technically and professionally.
You will make impacts in the following ways:
Troubleshoot customer product at both a unit level and Circuit Card Assembly level.
While troubleshooting circuit card assemblies, looking at failed circuits, isolating the fault down to a component level, then dispositioning the repair procedures.
Interact and provide feedback to Operators on the manufacturing floor
Support our manufacturing floor as needed to ensure that product continues to move through the process, and play a vital part of instilling our company s value of maintaining a lean culture
Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electronic Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronic Communication Engineering Technology (ECET) or equivalent technical degree program and 3-5 years experience, or Bachelor's Degree in EE, EET, ECE, ECET or equivalent technical degree program with 1 or more year of relevant experience.
Capable of using standard electrical lab and test equipment.
Enter FAA mandated Anti-Drug Pool. Subject to random drug testing.
Electronics component level troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog and digital) on a wide range of product.
Ability to interpret technical specifications.
Ability to communicate and work well within a technical team.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree in EET or EE, or equivalent technical degree program, and 5 years plus work experience.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Proficient in isolating electronic failures to root cause.
Ability to interpret and apply specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
Proficiency coordinating and organizing multiple activities in a team environment.
Advanced-level technical skills, knowledge of technical requirements, and system flows skills relevant to job/area of work.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
