We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support our Engine Systems Unit Integration Team who will be expected to drive improvements associated with manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will support the following:
SAFETY
Ensure compliance to all aspects of Safety.
Proactively maintain a safe working environment.
Comply with audits.
QUALITY
Ensure team meets quality objectives.
Promote a culture of 100% quality.
Take part in quality investigations, including Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), as determined by the Quality Control Engineer (QCE).
PRODUCT PROCESS EFFICIENCY
Define and improve fixturing and tooling.
Reduce cycle times, maintaining once optimal.
Reduce touch time, maintaining once optimal.
Eliminate bottlenecks.
Maintain optimal utilization, initiating improvements where possible and applicable.
Provide input into costing and practices cost control.
PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
Create, maintain, and improve work instructions.
Review and approve engineering changes.
Maintain adequate customer compliance for all products.
TEAM SUPPORT
Work collaboratively with other Process Owners on meeting product process efficiency and product compliance goals collectively.
Ensure ongoing collaboration of best practices and strategies. Carry out training when necessary
Lead initiatives to ensure that continuous improvement is an ongoing process.
Identify and communicate training needs and skills gaps in the teams.
Provide and/or identify mentoring and coaching opportunities.
Model appropriate behaviors that encourage effective teamwork to drive quality improvement and to ensure product compliance and assembly process efficiency through continuous improvement.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years experience in absence of degree within manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, systems, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing essential.
Intermediate-level technical skills and knowledge of technical requirements and system flows skills relevant to job / area of work.
General understanding of electronics manufacturing process.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years experience within manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, systems, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
Lean Manufacturing Certificate/Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Statistical Analysis including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability Index (CpK), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Design of Experiments (DOE).
Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
