Sets up and operates various types of Borematic machines performing a wide range of boring operations on experimental, tool or production work. Performs diversified work such as precision boring, chamfering, and turning special radii, etc., on all types of materials. Selects speeds and feeds, devises tooling for varying conditions and materials, and uses any type of boring attachment. Determines the sequence of operations in performing the above-described work.
Tools & Equipment Used:
Various makes of Borematic machines, tool grinders, dial gauges, micrometers, calipers and machinist hand tools.
Experience & Other Requirements:
Three years of related experience.
