Description: Cyber Security Penetration Test Engineer - Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Cyber Range (ACR)
Job Summary :
Join our team of cyber security experts at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Cyber Range (ACR) as a Penetration Test Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in assessing the security posture of our platforms' embedded systems. As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your technical expertise and threat intelligence to identify vulnerabilities, develop exploits, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Key Responsibilities :
*Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration tests of embedded systems and supporting IT systems to identify security weaknesses and vulnerabilities
*Develop and maintain tools and capabilities to support vulnerability assessments, including identifying new techniques and methodologies to stay ahead of emerging threats
*Collaborate with customers to understand their high-level requirements and mission needs, and develop tailored cyber assessment concepts to meet those needs
*Provide formal documentation and reporting of discovered vulnerabilities to senior leaders, including recommendations for mitigation and remediation
*Continuously develop and refine personal and team Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in areas such as:
-Hardware and software analysis and reverse engineering
-Embedded network analysis and exploitation
-RF analysis and exploitation
*Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, technologies, and trends in cyber security, and apply that knowledge to improve the ACR's capabilities and services
Requirements :
*Strong technical background in cyber security, with a focus on embedded systems and penetration testing
*Experience with a range of tools and technologies, including but not limited to:
-Vulnerability scanning and exploitation frameworks (e.g. Metasploit, Burp Suite)
-Network protocol analysis and exploitation tools (e.g. Wireshark, Tcpdump)
-Reverse engineering and debugging tools (e.g. IDA Pro, OllyDbg)
-RF analysis and exploitation tools (e.g. SDR, RFcat)
*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
*Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

The selected candidate must possess a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in penetration testing or a related cyber security role
• Moderate to advanced coding experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient technical writing skills
Desired Skills:
• B.S. degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Technology
• Experience with the real-time embedded systems (avionics systems or similar)
• Experience with software analysis (e.g. static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, etc.) as applied to high-level programming languages (C, C++, Java)
• Experience with RF analysis / reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms
• Experience with hardware analysis / reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms
• Experience with embedded network protocol analysis / reverse engineering as applied to avionics platforms
• Experience with creating and presenting technical information to senior-level executives and customers
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent communication skills (written and verbal communications) and have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
