FARA Increment 1 Flight Controls Systems (FCS) - Systems Lead Engineer:
Bell’s 360 Invictus program will fulfill the requirements of the US Army’s Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA). We are looking for talented engineers in the field of flight control systems engineering to join our team.
This position will be based at headquarters in Fort Worth TX or at our Flight Research Center (FRC) in Arlington TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the activities of Flight Control System (FCS) engineers developing the FARA Flight Control System
Coordinate the System Architecture with other teams on the FARA program
Coordinate with the FCS control law, redundancy management, electronic hardware, and actuator specialists to ensure the system architecture supports their requirements
Coordinate System Safety Assessments, Functional Hazard Assessments, and Regulatory Requirements
Define hardware and software specifications in line with the FCS System Architecture
Coordinate with external vendors on the design, development, and integration of FCS component
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
Major in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering is preferred.
Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
Position Requirements:
5 years of relevant experience in Aerospace industry is preferred but other levels of experience will be considered.
Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with the following is preferred but not mandatory:
Familiarity with avionic systems, electrical power, mechanical controls, hydraulic systems or actuation
Experience with aircraft flight testing
