Lockheed Martin Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Full Stack / Software Engineering Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has an opening for an Software Infrastructure Manager position supporting the F-35 JSF ALIS/ODIN program.

The Level 5 Infrastructure as Code Full Stack / Software Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership to define the strategy, roadmap, standards for Infrastructure platforms and services as well as to support the design and build fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and robust Infrastructure Technology Solutions.

Roles and Responsibility for this role includes

• Provide Technical Leadership to the capability team to ensure design approach/requirements/acceptance criteria are sustainable and testable

• Collaboration with the Line of Business Engineering team to ensure technical direction aligns to cost and schedule

• Accountable for area-specific backlog impact for future release based on overall program backlog based on technical solution

• Collaborate across Function Architects, Senior Architects, and Functional Management on new tech stack refresh

• Drive the architectural vision that aligns to Development, Modernization and Sustainment by ensuring that a roadmap of the technical path forward has been created and is being followed

• Responsible for driving the strategic vision of the function

• Support proposal development ensuring technical integrity, resource availability and appropriate cost and schedule for the estimated work

• Ensures technical integrity of the engineering artifacts within the workstream

• Ensures requirements baseline is documented, tracked, and maintained.

• Tracks maturity of technical baseline and management of technical debt

• Provide Technical Leadership on the test profile and the most value-added system and unit test automation

• Accountable to the technical quality metrics (eg. Unit Test Coverage, Performance, Install Times, Requirements Traceability, Requirements Stability, Cycle Time, Phase Containment, etc)

• Provide Technical Leadership on engineering approach (incl. design, software and test) on new capability/feature and modern tech stack update

• Ensure alignment with Aero Engineering Processes

• Ensure adequate System Design is documented and backlog is managed appropriately per the function

• Partner with Interface Lead and Enterprise Test Lead to ensure ALIS interface to Enterprise is fully defined and tested for responsible function

• Ensure design behavior and dependencies are documented, as new capabilities are introduced

• Appropriately adapts and ensures adherence to organizational processes including peer reviews

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or above in a related discipline.

• Experience with Infrastructure as code

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with Cost, Technical, and Schedule Management

• Experience with Proposals and/or Basis of Estimates

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in the design of complex network systems.

• Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and technologies

• Demonstrated technical leadership skills with the capability to create and lead a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated expertise in devising business strategies for process automation and enhancement.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Comfort planning and executing within a continuous

integration and delivery environment

• Experience with Atlassian and GitLab

• System administration experience in Linux

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker,

Kubernetes, Openshift, etc

• Excellent verbal and collaboration skills

• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Powershell, Ruby, Bash, etc.

• Experience with F-35 ALIS

• Experience developing detailed plans in support of

technical assignments

• System administration and experience working in a lab

environment and scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python

• Experience working in technical teams across a virtual

environment

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
