The Manager, IPT Engineering – FARA Drives is responsible for leading the design, schedule, budget, development, integration, procurement, build, and team execution of all Drive System tasks for Bell aircraft. This position supports Bell's Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Program, and is located at the company’s Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Drive execution of drive system design and analysis within the integrated program team environment.
Responsible for the technical performance, cost, and schedule related to drive system design, analysis, manufacturing, procurement, contracting, and systems integration.
Direct design integration activities, defining requirements and airworthiness in coordination with subject matter experts. Manage project deliverables, such as schedules and resource planning, and reporting status to program management.
Lead a broad cross functional team in the design of drive system throughout entire product design lifecycle including trade studies, conceptual design, preliminary design, detail design, engineering release, and revision change management.
Coordinate with the build team, manufacturing centers, manufacturing innovation, suppliers and teammates to improve aircraft manufacturability, sustainability and affordability
Responsible for preparing and presenting technical performance, cost, and schedule material for design and requirements reviews to program management and engineering technical community, including the Army customer.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required. Major in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
Master’s Degree in one of the technical disciplines mentioned above - or in Business Administration - is preferred.

Position Requirements:
8 years of experience in aircraft design, integration, fabrication, assembly, test, certification / qualification and supplier management is preferred.
Previous experience utilizing design computational tools such as various CAD software (such as CATIA, UG, etc.), Mathcad, Matlab, FEM software (ANSYS, etc.), etc. is required.
Previous experience working with PLM software such as ENOVIA to drive product lifecycle is required.
Demonstrated experience in managing & coordinating multidiscipline teams including; engineering, manufacturing, tooling, MRB, quality and supply chain management is preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing aircraft suppliers during development phase of aircraft program is required.
Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent foresight and problem-solving skills
Must provide vision and leadership through both struggles and triumphs.
