Lockheed Martin Metrology Engineer Senior -Level 3 in Fort Worth, Texas

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of metrology products; investigates the technical capabilities of metrology devices and competing equipment; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems for metrology-focused solutions; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares metrology equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals.

A Day In The Life:

Assignment area includes engineering and technical support for projects ranging from manufacturing process development and improvements to manufacturing equipment and system specification, procurement, integration and support.

On any given day, you will also make an impact by:

• Performing project management functions (budget and schedule management, status reporting, cost benefit analysis, etc.) for both government-funded and internally-funded Manufacturing Technology projects.

• Providing technical status reporting and troubleshooting for F-35 component-specific build areas for Manufacturing Technology's technical project portfolio.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX  Discover Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications:

- Strong technical background

- Project management experience

- Experience developing advanced technology

Desired Skills:

- Metrology or part measurement experience

- Metrology hardware experience: laser, structured light or optical scanning systems

- Metrology software experience: Polyworks, Geomagic data analysis, analytics automation and process scripting

- Experience implementing metrology solutions in a production or manufacturing environment especially Aerospace

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
