A Multi-Functional Manufacturing Manager will have leadership responsibility for the management of F-35 Forward Fuselage structural build area.

What You Will Be Doing

• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

• Responsible for safety, quality, cost, and schedule of assigned personnel, position, and product.

• Ensures efficient build execution, adherence to crew management process, as well as all applicable Company & Customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in aircraft assembly techniques, theory and/or practice.

• Experience in aircraft quality standards and the cost of quality concepts.

• Experience with the application of standard work to aircraft assembly processes.

• Experience managing a team in technical and leadership development.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with defining work impacts (in current day or in the future) and reporting those impacts for action by support organizations.

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts.

• Experience in business metrics to drive performance (i.e. cost, schedule, quality).

• Experience in LM organizational environment to include production engineering, manufacturing engineering, production control and industrial engineering.

• Working knowledge of Fort Worth manufacturing processes and procedures highly desired.

• Experience in manufacturing/production methodologies including etching, production painting, coatings, chemical processing, machining and composites.

• Ability to develop self in preparation for a successful transition to manager by proactively developing leadership and professional competencies.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Technical and strategic leadership abilities; must drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.

• Ability to make timely and sound decisions and understand the financial impacts of decisions and actions of the team.

• Highly skilled in verbally communicating objectives and requirements.

• Minimum of 5 years management experience.

• Experience with company policies and a union environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
