Function/Program: Manufacturing

WORK PERFORMED:

Setsup and operates various multi-axis. CNC/DNC controlled fiber placement machines used to manufacturecomposite parts. These tasks requirecomplex machine set-ups, bonding processes, machine operations. And numerical control program execution inorder to place composite material on tools that form complex parts andassemblies.

Performspreventative service and maintenance checks in addition to indexing tools toequipment. Performs material bonder workas necessary during machine operations and as fill-in. Must read and interpret processspecifications, detailed planning, and engineering drawing requirements. Operates a machine controller/interfacecomputer, inputs and understands machine codes, edits and understands basicprogramming associated with machine operations.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED:

1)Fiberplacement machines with 7 or less numerical controlled axis

2)Handtools.

3)Testingequipment

4)Precisionmeasuring instruments.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

One(1) year experience performing the above work plus one (1) year of Bonder

experience.

OR

ACertificate of Completion in automated systems technology or mechanicaltechnology from an accredited institution of higher learning.

OR

Successfulcompletion of courses in mechanisms, hydraulics and pneumatics, programmablelogic controller’s motors and transformers, linear and switching devices,microprocessor fundamentals, robotics, and applications of automated systems.
