Manage & Lead top level Continuous Improvement Frame Work strategy, planning & execution across F35 LOB. PMT’s are the foundation of our factories performance and culture & this role will manage the Continuous Improvement Officers to align the culture & break through objectives and strategy deployment across our operations.

This includes – reviewing & the health and maturity of the F35 Continuous Improvement System all team savings business cases, setting up recognition events, working improvement initiatives & providing coaching & guidance to Integrated Performance Teams and Performance Management Teams.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop & create a standardized strategy and continuous improvement review for the F35 line of business.

• Lead a team of Operations Engineers focused on HPU reduction, SRR reduction, lean manufacturing and Operations Excellence; drive a focus on preventative problem resolutions vs. heroics.

• Lead the Continuous Improvement Roadmap driving the factory of the future through project identification, development and implementation of A3 Problem Solving, CI projects, JDI’s, and Kaizens.

• Lead a team of operations engineers to coach and develop PMT’s/IPT’s/OBEYA and policy deployment to build team operations leaders.

• Lead a team of continuous improvement officers to maintain the health of the continuous improvement frame work. Also, work with major build team units on culture of accountability key skills abilities.

• Lead a team of continuous improvement officers to align year end strategy deployment processes to achieve break through objectives and annual improvement priorities.

• Manage the Kaizen Promotion office activity, development of talent through training in Kaizen activities, and maintain the schedule of the F35 major build team units.

• Consolidate Risk & Opportunity management across all manufacturing operations

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience Leading Multi-Functional teams.

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

• Experience with Project &/or Program management.

• Experienced in process development &/or continuous improvement.

• Experience in design of continuous improvement frame works &/or systems.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree

• Excellent communication skills and to be able to operate autonomously with minimal direction

• Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations

• Project Manager or Leadership development

• Ability to attract, develop and retain high - potential performers

• Set a clear functional strategy as part of the operations senior leadership team

• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Belt Belt

• Ability to utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement

• Experience with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation 

• Experience with manufacturing simulation / modeling tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
