POSITION SUMMARY: Proficient in obtaining venous and capillary blood specimens on pediatric, adolescent, adults and geriatric patients. Train new personnel and students in phlebotomy techniques. Assists in the answering of the telephone, filing, greeting inpatients and outpatients. Performs paperwork and collects blood for all in-house “For Cause” urinalysis and blood drug screen analysis on employees. Works the pneumonic tube system when lab assistant is not available. Responds to Code RRT, Blue, Sepsis and Stroke.
