Lockheed Martin Procurement Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: This position will be reporting to the Procurement Engineering team within LM Supply Chain’s Strategic Sourcing/Category Management organization focused on implementing our Supply Chain Transformation’s (SCT) Category Management Strategy.

This Procurement Engineering role will require the individual to be a critical thinker/problem solver and self-starter managing multiple priorities. This individual will engage in a highly collaborative and self-directing environment which includes working with an enterprise-wide, cross-functional team of supply chain, engineering, quality, finance and business operations professionals to:

• Implement SCT category management initiatives, develop strategies and long-term agreements on core electrical categories (i.e. capacitors, resistors, connectors, integrated circuits, magnetics, power supplies and RF Devices)

• Conduct opportunity analyses/assessments to expand category management strategies/long term agreements (LTA’s) to other categories.

• Conduct industry research, market & supplier analysis, evaluate supplier proposals, supplier capabilities assessments to support category management decisions.

• Support Transformation (1LMX) and Enterprise Control Tower/Aggregated Demand Forecasting initiatives including mapping of UNSPSC to Direct Material Categories to improve overall forecasting

• Collaborate with Engineering to define critical attributes and supplier capabilities of electrical categories to support 1LMX/Enterprise Parts Registry initiatives

• Work with Corp/BA’s to establish forecasting/requirements for electrical categories to leverage with long term agreements and procurement efficiencies

• Lead/Represent teams and working groups stood up to develop enterprise strategies, such as, Microelectronics Program Office, Critical Materials

• Lead and support the development of Procurement/Component Engineers network across Business Areas to foster collaboration on category management strategies

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a mid-career supply chain professional. While this is a full-time telecommuting position, occasional travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a component engineer or procurement engineer supporting supply chain/acquisition policies and initiatives

• Motivated self-starter with effective time management skills and able to work with high level of autonomy

• Highly effective written and oral communication skills

• Data Analysis and problem solving skills

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams in a virtual environment

• Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously

• Flexibility to adapt to change and move seamlessly between projects

• Ability to successfully interface and interact with all levels of the organization

• Customer focused, results oriented

• Proficient in software tools including Excel, Poweroint and LM procurement tools (P2P)

Due to specific access to DoD related systems a US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline combined with at least 8 years experience in Engineering and Supply Chain/Procurement disciplines/functions

• Relevant Engineering and Supply Chain knowledge base

• Proven critical/strategic thinking with problem solving and process improvement capabilities

• Knowledge in SAP, P2P, EPDM, PLM

• Proficient in fostering working relationships, change management and influence others as a team lead or representative both internally with supporting functions as well as with externally at all functional and leadership level

• Proficient in addressing technical and contractual requirements

• Ability to develop long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives

• Excellent business acumen and ability to make business-based decisions

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $110,300 - $207,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $95,900 - $183,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
