Project Engineer – FLRAA:

The Project Engineer will support Bell’s FLRAA Program efforts at Bell’s headquarters facility in Fort Worth, Texas.The selected candidate will support various FLRAA Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and will perform Control Account Manager (CAM) functions for the associated labor, material, and/or travel control accounts. The position will work closely with Sr Leaders, Engineering Teams, Finance, Contract, Supply Chain and other CAMs to ensure program cost and schedule performance is effectively managed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to monitor Control Account performance, cost, and schedule variances effectively.

  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for specific IPTs within the FLRAA program, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule while utilizing EVM techniques.

  • Collaborate with the Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain and Program Management teams to develop and manage budgets.

  • Work with IPT Managers to create, maintain and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the assigned teams.

  • Coordinate and manage the IPT Risk/Issue/Opportunity (RIO) process including monetizing & creating/statusing mitigation plans.

  • Weekly status to include Estimate at Complete (EAC) credibility.

  • Monthly Variance (VAR) analysis and reporting.

  • Monitor and work with IPT leaders to validate and mitigate Critical Path concerns.

  • Document and report Engineering project progress to stakeholders as required.

  • Assist IPT Managers with resource allocations and assessments for various projects.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – or related field – is required.

Position Requirements:

  • Related experience at all levels will be considered - with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Experience as a CAM on a DoD program is preferred.

  • Ability to communicate EVM concepts and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Prior experience with USG reviews/audits is a plus.

  • Must have the ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets (i.e. MS Teams, Excel, etc)

  • Familiarity with industry-standard EVM tools and software (i.e Primavera P6)

  • Strong time management and analytical skills are required.

  • Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with excellent planning, problem solving and communication skills.
