Who You Are

Category Management, Manager is a key leadership position within the Strategic Supplier Team (SST) Portfolio managing Supplier Procurement and Performance activities for EMD and Production level execution efforts across multiple aircraft platforms. This Leader will support multiple large programs, have experience delivering internal program support, Customer interface, and deliver bottom line required results

What You Will Be Doing

This position is responsible for managing a team of professional Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Managers who manage cost, schedule, and supplier performance. Role will also be coordinating employee selection/hiring, training, development, performance & assessments, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.

As Category Management Manager, you'll be responsible for directing all phases of the subcontracts from initiation, Request For Proposals (RFP's), proposals, negotiations, issuing purchase orders, subcontract management of the suppliers, internal audits, cost accountability executive reviews, supplier reviews, program reviews, contract closeout and all associated metrics.

This Manager will lead a team to execute highly complex contracts. Experience with TINA negotiations, proposal compliancy, and purchase order compliancy necessary.

Position requires managing the procurement of major systems and the suppliers delivery performance.

Position requires negotiating complex internal customer and external supplier requirements; Public Law 87-653, Truth in Negotiations Act; FAR/DFARS; LMAP/CAP and AeroCodes; comprehension and application of price/cost analysis; comprehension and application of risk and opportunity evaluations and mitigation. Also, developing subcontract methodologies and terms and conditions; and collaborating cross functionally to develop evaluation criteria for complex source selections; applying advanced procurement skills in the negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions, including price; managing and directing subcontractors in performance and execution of subcontracts, inclusive of cost, schedule, technical, and risk elements of the various subcontract phases, will be included as a responsibility of the Category Management, Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Experience with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP)

- Experience in DoD Procurement Life Cycle

- Experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e. subcontract cost, quality, schedule and technical program performance)

- Negotiation skills

- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations SUPPLEMENT (DFARS), government regulations

Desired Skills:

- Experience building relationships with program and technical community

- MRP/SAP with current SAP access experience

- Experience developing long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives

- Business acumen, to make business based decisions

- Experience managing many overlapping projects, simultaneously

- Experience interfacing and interacting with all levels of the organization

- Informal leadership, lead or mentoring experience

- TINA Level Negotiation Experience

- Price / Cost Analysis Experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
