Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer (Electronic Warfare & Electro Optical) - Intern in Fort Worth, Texas

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Summer 2024 Systems Engineer Intern. In this role, you will support working with LM product suppliers and LM teams to plan, develop, produce and sustain Electronic Warfare or Electro Optical Subsystems (Hardware, Software and Firmware) on different aircraft. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical project planning, analysis, problem solving, writing and communications.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in RF Engineering, Electro-Optical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautics, or a related engineering discipline.

• Course work and lab experience with analog, RF, and digital components/systems.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

• Familiar with engineering or technical project planning, analysis, problem solving, technical writing and communications

• Basic Knowledge of Engineering, Knowledge of Radio Frequency concepts, Antennas, Electro-optics, Infrared, Photonic and/or Laser Systems is a plus

• Course work in antenna design/analysis and signal processing/analysis is desirable

• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
