Who You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Program Lead to join our Training Team within our Global Supply Chain organization. The Training Program Lead will be responsible for managing the Horizon Training Program which places a strong focus on on-the-job training. The selected candidate will be responsible for all facets of the program from initiation and design, to content and structure development, candidate support, and candidate evaluation, graduation, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, as well experience in a training environment. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, program participants, and other stakeholders.

In this fast-paced role, you will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Academy training team, responsible for designing learning activities, assignments, and assessments for an organization of over 1600 people. Every day will be unique as you collaborate with subject matter experts and prepare the next generation of buyers to deploy into their professional roles. In this role, you will make a difference by providing new hires with on-the-job skills and setting them up for success as they launch their careers within Global Supply Chain.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of training materials, supporting on-the-job training.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials, including conducting regular reviews and updates to ensure that the materials remain up-to-date and relevant.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of the training program, track key performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve results.

• Manage the training team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with program stakeholders and participants.

• Develop and maintain the participants resource website, ensuring that it is easily accessible and user-friendly, and that it provides additional support and resources.

• Manage the headcount for the Program, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

• Develop and implement a change management plan for the Program to grow into new areas.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a supply chain management or logistics environment

• Project management experience, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.

• Professional level analytical and problem-solving experience

• Experience working independently and as part of a team

• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience

• Experience Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Desired Skills:

• Experience in instructional design and e-learning development

• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional systems design

• Experience in managing complex training projects in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and remote teams.

• Strong project or program management skills

• Strong organization skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
