Job Purpose and Impact
The Packaging Productivity Group is looking for an Process Optimization Engineer / Industrial Engineer to oversee operational metrics and related best practices to improve and optimize productivity with the strategy and goals defined by the business and functions. The Packaging Productivity Engineer role is necessary to provide proactive approaches focusing on improving multiple facets of Packaging Operational Performance. The Packaging Productivity Engineer will collaborate with CI/PE, Maintenance, FSQR, Engineering and Core Operations organizations to achieve the goals set by the Business to drive operational performance and value capture. This role will be a technical resource in plant operations and will advance existing processes through monitoring key plant metrics and implementing best practices. In this role you will also assist in the continuous improvement of other operational processes and procedures to develop improvements in production and process safety, maintenance/reliability and capital project execution.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and execute near and midterm strategic and tactical action plans through evaluating current plant performance opportunities. Focusing on improvements to key operational excellence metrics including in the areas of operational efficiency (OE), shrink, manufacturing costs, equipment downtime and product loss while utilizing process equipment technical expertise, knowledge of plant operations and continuous improvement tools.
Support plant operations by identifying and driving solutions to ongoing production failures and key productivity metrics.
Partner with other functional areas: CI, Maintenance, FSQR, Engineering, Smart Manufacturing to drive improvements through special projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain metric tracking for progress reporting and benchmarking analysis.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
Sigma Six Belt Certification
Minimum of 2 years working in a food packaging environment
PET Blow molding and high-speed packaging line experience
Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement and Capital Project Management Experience
Technical proficiency in data analytical software such as MS Excel, OSIsoft PI System, and SAP

Compensation Information
The expected salary for this position is $105,000- $125,000 with a 10% annual target bonus. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
