Cargill Production Coordinator in Gainesville, Georgia

Shift Available: Rotating

Compensation: $23.25

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the input of production of all fill lines and receiving for the plant

  • Take a proactive role in creating policies and procedures when necessary and communicating any issues that prevent the plant from achieving scheduled production

  • Coordinate with operations, shipping, and quality to stay informed of all production requirements

  • Follow up with crew leaders and supervision on production shortages or problems

  • Identify root causes of shrink and system discrepancies and create corrective actions to address

  • Assist in input of production information for shrink reports and end of month inventories and distribute the various reports to the appropriate people

  • Makes all system adjustments for inventory control purposes. Manages waste logs, completion, and feedback. Adjusts for all cycle counts and directs cycle counts as needed

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience

  • Forklift certified

  • Experience with SAP or alternative inventory systems

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

  • Work experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment

  • Ability to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
