Job description summary

Analytics & Innovation, with a focus on Finance Operations - Chargebacks, is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and managing/evaluating current processes; this involves working cross-functionally the company's internal resources. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

What Data Analytics brings to Cardinal Health:

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Analytics applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.

The focus area of this role contributes to the success of Finance operations as it pertains to Chargebacks. This role will work cross-functionally with other internal resources to complete projects in a timely productive manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
  • SQL highly preferred
  • Alteryx highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Tableau or similar Visualization Tool preferred
  • Experience with data management and data governance preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • HANA, GCP, Vistex experience preferred

What is expected of you in this role

  • Constructs and articulates resource needs to deliver on project goals
  • Gain an understanding of how chargebacks processes work at a high level and the challenges chargebacks faces to help us imagine valuable solutions
  • Gain an understanding of the chargebacks data landscape and build valuable relationships with various teams involved with chargebacks data
  • Consults directly on data-driven solutions for new service offerings and strategic initiatives
  • Prepares and analyzes data. This can include: locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating or modeling
  • Applies query, data exploration and transformation, basic statistical methods and visualization techniques to create business insights or improve data quality
  • Produce, analyzes and shares insights from Key Performance Indicators
  • Serves as a trusted resource for broad and deep chargebacks subject matter expertise in the context of developing new business processes and technology solutions
  • Will be responsible for blueprinting existing processes to discover automation opportunities, exploring capabilities of new tools and technology, and integrating that technology into current and new business processes to streamline Data Management work streams
  • Work with cross-functional partners across our highly matrixed organization to understand both upstream inputs to, and downstream impact of, current and future processes
  • Communicates information so that it is easy to understand and influences others to take action based on the useful information provided.
