Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Planner / Level 2 in Goleta, California

Description: The Missiles and Fire Control team is looking for a Manufacturing Planner to join the Santa Barbara, CA team.

This candidate will be responsible for the following job responsibilities:

-Perform the Make, Buy and/or Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions.

-Perform one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions.

-Maintain production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost.

-Expedite and optimize material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements.

-Coordinate with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule.

-Coordinate with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements.

-Maintain MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.

Desired Skills:

-Degree focused in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.

-Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business.

-Works independently and in a collaborative and team-based environment.

-Experience with multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.

-Experience with analyzing problems and recommending solutions.

-Exposure in a fast paced versatile working

environment.

-Inventory Control and material handling knowledge.

-Experience in Apriso shop floor and reporting.

-Experience in SAP, Inventory Management, MRP systems, etc.

-Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.

-Lean Six Sigma Green belt trained and or certified.

-Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $55,100 - $105,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $63,500 - $119,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
