Description:

You will be a Lead Integrated Circuit Design Engineer for our Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) design team at Lockheed Martin's Santa Barbara Focalplane business. Our team is responsible for advancing the state of the art in infrared (IR) imaging sensors by designing and developing innovative ROIC architectures.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Lead Integrated Circuit Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading ROIC design teams and developing new ROIC architectures. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing analog, mixed signal, and digital circuit blocks for use in ROICs, including CMOS pixel designs, analog to digital converters, and high speed transceiver circuits

• Leading a team of integrated circuit designers to develop full ROIC systems on a chip

• Coordinating with circuit layout designers, lab testing and debugging hardware, and presenting design review material

• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to support IR sensor system design

• Managing projects, interfacing with customers, and presenting design review material

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Considered an expert, authority in discipline.

• Excellent communication skills and working in collaborative team environments

• This facility requires access to export controlled information therefore requires US Citizenship

• Experience as an IC design chip design lead

• Experience with IC design in the Cadence Virtuoso tool suite

Desired Skills:

• Top level and circuit block experience of ROIC designs

• Analog circuit design of amplifiers, current mirrors, and other bias circuits

• Digital logic circuit design with custom logic blocks or with RTL behavioral design

• Mixed signal circuit design of high speed digital blocks such as memory, PLL’s, analog to digital converters, digital to analog converters, and high speed serial transmitters

• Transistor level layout mask design

• Serial interface designs including serial peripheral, I2C, and other standard command and control interfaces

• Linux C-Shell scripting

• Version control management of source code with industry standard tool such as Git or Cliosoft

• Project management and coordination of engineering teams over product lifecycles

• Understanding of IR sensor systems and all of their components

• Lab experience of test and troubleshooting CMOS circuits

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $154,100 - $267,145. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
