Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance Engineer Associate - Dallas, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: This position is in support of the mechanical fabrication shop across multiple production and development programs with diverse responsibilities that support internal production efforts within Lockheed Martin factories, drive improvements within our internal metrics, facilitate robust Root Cause and Corrective Action, drive positive customer relations, and support proposal efforts. We are looking for a high energy individual that works well within a team environment and is willing to work many different tasks in support of the team’s common goals.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX.

Responsibilities include:

Reviews documentation related to internal manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Supports shop floor activities including: communicate cross-functionally to plan for changes or new production, create quality work instructions, present hardware to the customer for inspection.

Attends and presents in corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.

Participates in dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Performs first article inspections (FAI's), assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Position may support any shift.

Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Prefer Mechanical Engineering degree

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering.

The candidate must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills:

-Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements

-GPA of 3.0 or Higher

-GD&T experience

-Prefer Mechanical Engineering degree

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering

-General knowledge of lean six sigma processes

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power point, Access, etc.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
