Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer Asc - Early Career in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Supplier Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX supporting the GMLRS production program. The position will require working flexible hours with some travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States.
Responsibilities include:
Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities.
Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports.
Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with suppliers daily.
Individual should be a self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, and customer to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the production process. The selected candidate will analyze program, quality process, and supplier performance, identify adverse trends, understand/identify risks, and drive effective corrective action as well as overall process improvements.
Role will require monitoring performance of suppliers, providing support for root cause and corrective / preventative actions, supporting supplier requests tied to program requirements, participating in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, participate in drawing / process reviews for proper design assurance, providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters, auditing program and suppliers for conformance to requirements, partnering with Program Management and IPT to provide proactive issue identification, causal analysis, mitigation and preventive action (overall health monitoring of Program), and working closely with the Customer to ensure adequate acceptance of product.

Quality Engineers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team, which includes customer, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, trended, and resolved in a timely manner.
This position will require approximately 25% - 30% travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology from an accredited college/ university
The candidate must be a US citizen.
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.
Thorough and detail-oriented focus with strong analytical skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to Work Individually and as a Team Player
Ability to travel 25% - 30%

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
