Description:

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to develop and maintain Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) Common Processes that are aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI), Program and Customer requirements.

This role requires interfacing with systems/software development personnel, test engineering, suppliers, customers, and program managers.

Must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer interface and presentation skills. Work independently and effective. The candidate is expected to quickly come up to speed with the SSQE work scope, technical, program risks, and milestone schedule.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, perform process/product evaluations, and participate/ interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual and company requirements.

• Ability to evaluate data to identify systemic issues and trends.

• Participate in the peer review of software requirements, design, code changes, documentation reviews, testing events, software media including software change control process boards.

• Participate in the peer review of test equipment requirements, design, LabView code changes, documentation reviews and proof and validation events.

• Participate in software supplier documentation reviews and testing events,.

• Moderate travel may be required to support program activities.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Ability to interpret Schematic Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of Systems & Software QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.

• Software Quality Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Product Integration and Test.

• Good understanding of software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

• Ability to interpret software design and code (C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements.

• Test Equipment Hardware knowledge or background skills.

• Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation and Technical Writing.

• Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration.

• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

• Ability to travel

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills:

• ASQ CSQE (Certified Software Quality Engineer)

• Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems/models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulation

• Lean / Six Sigma Green

• Experience with Software Suppliers

• Experience with Government customers

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
