Lockheed Martin Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) - Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX to provide support to the M270 Fleet Expansion Program in data collection, analysis and presentation in Supplier and Manufacturing areas of Quality.

The position requires prior quality engineering experience extracting and analyzing data and preparing actionable metrics targeting areas of improvement in both supplier quality (supplied parts) and manufacturing quality.

Responsibilities include:

Works closely with suppliers and Lockheed manufacturing to set up new processes, work contractual and obtain corrective action.

Extracts data from the internal Lockheed MRP system and prepares metrics that are actionable with identified trend areas, top defect trends, positive and negative trends with respect to defects per unit and supplied part quality trends, and more.

Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Attends and leads program parts review and corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.

Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment , identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100.

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.

Interfaces with suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in a Technical discipline

Must have an Interim security clearance and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance

Electrical, mechanical or quality engineering experience performing in-depth data mining, analyzing and actionable metrics creation

Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products

Able to interpret drawings and specifications to determine product conformance as well as develop and apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

SAP Application experience

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Effective communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Demonstrated presentation skills

Ability to travel

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Desired Skills:

Special Process Engineering experience

Experience with use of manufacturing, inspection gages or measuring equipment

AS9100 interpretation and application experience

Experience working with Government customers and suppliers

Thorough knowledge of Industry recognized Quality such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations

MS Excel subject matter expert

Experience with Tableau

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

Demonstrated understanding of quality audit techniques

Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
