Lockheed Martin VFX Generalist in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in Grand Prairie, TX. We are seeking people with diverse capabilities and proven artistic ability across multiple CG disciplines such as modelling, rigging, animation, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering, effects and compositing to join our team. The selected candidate will provide support and contribution as a member of the engineering visualization team located in Grand Prairie, TX. The team is looking for an experienced technical artist with an artistic eye for composition and details. As a member of the engineering visualization team, you will work alongside all the artists of the studio supporting various aspects of the rendering pipeline, particularly 3D modeling / texturing, scene set up, compositing, and rendering.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university with 5 years of professional experience

• 3D Generalist with expertise in hard surface modeling and texturing, general scene setup and rendering

• Compositing, editing, motion graphics experience

• Works closely with EVE (Engineering Visualizing Environment) PM to establish methodology and approach to products

• Ability to obtain clearance

Desired Skills:

• Houdini, Nuke, Adobe Suite experience preferred

• Experience with story boarding

• VFX experience (pyro, fluid, rbd simulations)

• Layout and animation experience

• Artistic eye for composition/details

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
