Consumer Product Strategy Analyst II/III

Job Description:
The Credit Assistance reporting team is part of the Retail and Preferred & Small Business Banking organization. The primary focus of our team is to provide meaningful and accurate data that will improve operational performance of the consumer products and support Credit Assistance.
The Consumer Product Strategy Analyst II/III will be responsible for performing transformation and modernization in one or more functional areas within the Credit Assistance reporting suite. While this position has no direct people management responsibilities, it does require the ability to interact with business partners both internal and external to the department. 2+ years reporting or analytical experience required.
Responsibilities include:
Management, creation, and enhancement of standard reporting deliverables using an intermediate knowledge level of languages and business intelligence tools (SAS/SQL, Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Excel)
Provide analytical support on various strategies to ensure company objectives are met
Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria
May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling
Adhoc requests
Analyst's initial responsibilities will require the use of SQL and Excel to deliver existing reports.
Analyst II v III will be determined at time of offer based on the level of experience the candidate possesses.
Required Skills:
2+ years successful performance in a role with strong analytical focus, preferred experience in a reporting environment
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills assimilating data into a results-based story for use by business partners
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Working experience with SQL/SAS
In addition, individual must demonstrate leadership competencies:
Ability to work well both independently and within a team
Ability to roll up sleeves, run reports, review data, make recommendations around more efficient processes/procedure, etc.
Drive for execution with strong attention to detail; delivers polished work product with high quality in a timely manner – flawless execution is non-negotiable as all data needs to be accurate
Curiosity: constantly looks for learning opportunities to develop skills and knowledge
Relationship management skills, including the ability to interact, communicate and influence peers and partners
Process orientation– someone who is capable of thinking about processes end to end, considering pitfalls, barriers, and opportunities along the way
Takes initiative and is a self-starter
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple changing tasks/stakeholders
Desired Skills:
Working experience with data visualization tools/technology such as Cognos, Tableau, or MicroStrategy
Strong Collections background
Previous experience with datamanagement/architecture
Hadoop or other "big data" development experience
